Summer Training Info
We would like for you to get to a point were you can run 20-60 minutes per day for 4-6 days per week. This doesn't mean run 60 minutes each day, this means listen to your body and vary your length of runs accordingly. For those who are returning runners you may talk to the coaches about planning some longer runs.
We also recommend adding core work 2-3 days per week. This simply means push-ups and sit-ups or any variation of similar exercises.
We strongly recommend meeting to run in groups or pairs. Please contact other runners on the team so you can run together during the summer. As said before at the lunch meeting, 6/2, you can run with other Sonoma County High School runners at these locations and times during the summer. It will mostly be Maria Carrillo runners but also a number of other local high school runners will attend.
